Airtight transfer window
The following is a detailed introduction to airtight transfer Windows:Overview
Definition: An airtight transfer window is a device used for the transfer of small items between clean areas or between clean and non-clean areas. It has excellent airtightness and can effectively prevent the leakage of air and microorganisms, ensuring the isolation and cleanliness between areas.
Application: Mainly used in high-level biosafety laboratories (BSL-3, BSL-4, ABSL-3, ABSL-4), pharmaceutical factories, hospital operating rooms, food processing plants, electronics factories, and other places with high requirements for environmental cleanliness and sealing.
Structure and Principle
Structure: It is usually composed of a box body, door leaf, sealing device, interlocking device, disinfection device, and other parts. The box body is generally made of stainless steel, with a smooth and clean surface, being sturdy, durable, and easy to clean. The door leaf is designed as a double door, located on both sides of the transfer window respectively. The sealing device is a key component of the airtight transfer window. Common types include mechanical compression seals and inflatable seals. By forming a tight sealing band between the door and the door frame, it prevents air leakage.
The airtight transfer window for building equipment
Principle: A sealing device is used to separate the interior of the transfer window from the external environment, forming a relatively independent space. When items need to be transferred from one side to the other, first open the door on one side, place the items in the transfer window, close the door, and disinfect the items in the transfer window through the disinfection device. Then open the door on the other side and take out the items, thus achieving the transfer of items while ensuring that the air in both areas does not circulate with each other. Maintain the cleanliness and environmental requirements of each location.
Functional characteristics
Good air tightness: Under certain pressure, such as -500 Pa, the inner cavity of the transfer window remains airtight, with a pressure difference attenuation of less than 250Pa within 60 minutes, or a leakage rate of less than 0.5% vol/h, effectively preventing the leakage of air, microorganisms and other contaminants.
Disinfection function: Equipped with ultraviolet disinfection lamps, VHP disinfection interfaces, and other disinfection devices, it can disinfect and sterilize the items inside the transfer window, reducing the risk of contamination during the transfer process. Among them, when the wavelength of the ultraviolet lamp is 253.7nm, the radiation intensity is higher than 70μW/cm2.
Interlocking function: Electronic interlocking or mechanical interlocking devices are adopted to ensure that both doors cannot be opened simultaneously, avoiding cross-contamination and guaranteeing the safety of the transfer process.
Self-cleaning capacity: After some airtight transfer Windows turns on the self-circulation fan, and the cleanliness inside the window can meet the purification requirements, effectively removing dust particles and microorganisms in the air.
Key points for selection
Application scenarios: Select the appropriate type and specification based on different usage locations and requirements. For example, high-level biosafety laboratories need to select airtight transfer Windows that comply with the corresponding biosafety standards; Pharmaceutical factories need to select products based on the cleanliness level requirements for drug production.
Size specifications: The size of the transfer window should be determined based on the actual size and quantity of the items being transferred to ensure smooth entry and exit of the items. At the same time, the space size of the installation location should also be taken into consideration.
Disinfection method: Select the appropriate disinfection method based on the usage scenario and disinfection requirements, such as ultraviolet disinfection, VHP disinfection, etc. For some items sensitive to ultraviolet rays, the VHP disinfection method can be chosen to prevent damage from ultraviolet rays to the items.
