Box-type filters are widely used in the food processing industry. Here are some specific cases:
Starch production: During the starch production process, solid-liquid separation of the starch slurry is required to obtain dry starch cakes. The plate and frame box-type filter uses specially designed filtering media, such as filter cloth, to separate starch from water in the starch slurry by taking advantage of the pressure difference between the plates and the frame. This can remove impurities and excess water from the starch and obtain high-quality starch products. This process consumes less energy, effectively reduces production costs, and features a large filtration area, high output, and stable operation.
Sugar production: In sugar production, box-type filters can be used in sugar solution filtration, activated carbon decolorization filtration, and resin regeneration filtration, among other processes. Impurities and suspended particles in the sugar solution can be removed through filtration. After the activated carbon decolorization treatment, the activated carbon can be separated from the syrup. Moreover, during the regeneration of the ion exchange resin, the regenerant can be filtered to ensure the purity of the syrup and the regeneration effect of the resin, which is conducive to improving the quality of sugar products.
Juice production: During juice production, box-type filters are mainly used to remove large solid particles such as fruit residue and suspended matter from the juice, thereby enhancing the clarity and taste of the juice. By adjusting the pore size of the filter medium and the filtration pressure, the separation of substances of different particle sizes in the juice can also be achieved, further improving the quality of the juice.
Dairy production: In dairy production, box-type filters can remove particulate impurities and bacteria from milk or dairy products, ensuring the stability and taste of dairy products. For instance, Donaldson filters employ multiple layers of high-performance filtration media. Through multi-stage filtration designs such as coarse filtration, fine filtration, and sterile filtration, they can effectively remove impurities and bacteria from milk, meeting production requirements.
Drinking water production: In the production of drinking water, such as mineral water, box-type filters can remove suspended solids, microorganisms, and odors from the water, ensuring the hygiene and safety of drinking water. If Donaldson filters are applied to the mineral water filling production line, they can make the water quality meet the filling requirements and ensure product quality.
Oil production: During the oil extraction stage, the oil obtained through pressing or leaching often contains a large amount of impurities and moisture. Box-type filters can effectively remove them to obtain purer oil. During the oil refining process, it can also be used to remove phospholipids, free fatty acids, pigments, and odorous substances from the oil, ensuring that the refined oil has higher purity and stability.
