Box-type filter

The following is an introduction to the box-type filter.
Structural composition
Filter media: It is the core component of box-type filters, determining the performance and service life of the filters. Common filter media include water-resistant glass fiber filter paper, synthetic fibers, glass fibers, activated carbon non-woven fabric, etc. Different filter media are suitable for different filtration scenarios and types of particles.
Filter frame: Its main function is to support the filter material and maintain its shape. It is usually made of materials such as polypropylene, galvanized steel plate, aluminum alloy, or aluminum extruded profiles, which have good strength and corrosion resistance.
Sealing strip: It is used to ensure the sealing performance of the filter and prevent air from leaking through the edge of the filter material. It is generally made of highly elastic rubber or foam materials.
Working principle
Interception function: When air containing pollutants passes through the box filter, the fine pores of the filter material can intercept the tiny particles in the air, preventing these particles from passing through the filter, thereby achieving air filtration and purification.
Adsorption effect: Some filter materials, such as activated carbon and non-woven fabric, also have adsorption functions, which can adsorb harmful gases, odor molecules, etc. in the air, further improving the quality of the air.
Inertial collision and diffusion effect: Particles in the air move under the drive of air flow. When they approach the filter material fibers, due to the inertial effect, they will continue to move along their original trajectories and thus collide with the filter material fibers and be intercepted. Meanwhile, some tiny particles will also diffuse to the surface of the filter material fibers due to Brownian motion and be captured.
Performance characteristics
High-efficiency filtration: It can filter out particles with a diameter of less than 1 micron, and has a good protective effect against dust, pollen, allergens, bacteria, and viruses, effectively improving air quality.
High air volume processing capacity: Through V-shaped design, deepened folding, and other structures, the filtration area is increased in a limited space, enabling it to handle larger air volumes and making it suitable for air filtration systems with higher requirements.
Large dust holding capacity: The excellent structural design and high-quality filter material enable the box-type filter to accommodate a large amount of dust and particles, extending the service life of the filter, reducing maintenance frequency, and replacement costs.
Low resistance: The reasonable arrangement of filter materials and structural design results in low flow resistance of air inside the filter, reducing the load on the fan and enhancing the overall operational efficiency of the system.
Application field
Air conditioning and ventilation systems: Widely used in central air conditioning and centralized ventilation systems, they are employed to filter out pollutants such as dust, pollen, and bacteria in the air, providing a clean and healthy indoor air environment. Examples include air conditioning systems in smart buildings, office buildings, shopping malls, hotels, hospitals, schools, and other places.
In the field of industrial production: In the production workshops of industries such as electronics, precision machinery, instruments, machinery, food, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals, strict air filtration and purification are required to meet the air quality requirements of the production process, such as dust-free workshops in electronics factories and clean rooms in pharmaceutical factories.
Air purification equipment: As the core components of various air purification devices, such as air purifiers and fresh air systems, it can effectively remove harmful pollutants in the air and improve indoor air quality.
Special places: Box-type filters with activated carbon non-woven fabric filter materials can also be applied in areas where odors need to be removed, such as libraries, museums, chemical plants, sewage treatment plants, etc.
