Gel seal HEPA filter installation requirements and methods
(I) Installation requirementsWhen installing a gel seal HEPA filter, the airflow direction should be the same as the direction of the arrow mark on the outer frame. When the filter assembled with corrugated plates is installed vertically, the corrugated plates must be perpendicular to the ground and must not be reversed. This is the key to ensuring the normal operation of the filter and the best filtering effect.
During the installation process, the filter should be handled with care and must not be contaminated. It must not be knocked or hit with tools. It is strictly forbidden to touch the filter paper with hands or tools to prevent damage to the filter material and sealant. Because the filter paper and sealant of the filter are important components to ensure the filtering effect and sealing, once damaged, it may cause a decrease in filtering efficiency or air leakage.
(II) Installation method
Sealing gasket sealing: usually, closed-cell sponge rubber sheets or chloroprene rubber sheets are used, and silicone rubber can also be used for sealing. The thickness of the sealing gasket is usually 6-8mm, and the splicing method of the sealing gasket is the same as the splicing method of the flange connection gasket of the air duct of the air purification system, that is, trapezoidal or tenon splicing. The sealing gasket is pasted on the frame of the high-efficiency filter. After installation, the compression rate of the sealing gasket should be 25%-50%.
Liquid tank sealing: When using liquid tank sealing, the liquid level of the liquid tank should meet the design requirements, generally 2/3 of the tank depth, the melting point of the sealing liquid should be higher than 50℃, and there should be no seepage at the joints of the frame. During installation, the knife-type high-efficiency filter is immersed in the sealing tank. For example, during the installation process of some pharmaceutical factories, the operation is strictly carried out by the requirements of liquid tank sealing, which ensures the sealing and stability of the filter and provides a reliable air purification guarantee for pharmaceutical production.
