Grades of air filters Classification

(1) Coarse efficiency filter
The filter media of coarse efficiency filter is generally non-woven fabric, metal wire mesh, glass wire, nylon mesh, etc. Commonly used coarse efficiency filters include automatic winding air filters, flat air filters, etc. The structure of these filters is in the form of panels, folding, belts, and coiling. Its structure form has plate type, folding type, belt type, and winding type.

 (2) Medium efficiency filter
Commonly used medium-effect filters include M-I, Ⅱ, Ⅳ type foam filters, YB type glass fiber filters, etc. The medium-effect filter media mainly includes glass fiber, medium-fine pore polyethylene foam, and synthetic fiber felt made of polyester, polypropylene, acrylic, etc.

  (3) High efficiency filters
Commonly used high-efficiency filters are type GB and type GWB. The filter media is ultra-fine glass fibre filter paper with particularly small pores. It adopts a very low filtration speed, which enhances the sieving effect and diffusion of small dust particles, so it has a high filtration efficiency.

  Classification and function
The compressed air coming from the air source contains excessive water vapour and oil droplets, as well as solid impurities such as rust, sand, pipe sealant, etc. These can damage the piston sealing ring, block the small exhaust holes on the components and shorten the service life of the components or make them ineffective. The role of the air filter is to separate the liquid water and liquid oil droplets in the compressed air and filter out dust and solid impurities in the air, but not remove the gaseous water and oil.
