How to determine whether the resistance of the HEPA filter in the goods shower room needs to be replaced?

To determine whether the resistance of the high-efficiency filter in the material shower room meets the replacement standard, there are mainly the following methods:
Monitor through a differential pressure gauge
Principle: The differential pressure gauge reflects the resistance of the filter by measuring the pressure difference before and after the filter. When the filter is gradually clogged with dust and other impurities, the pressure difference before and after it will gradually increase. Therefore, the reading of the differential pressure gauge can visually display the resistance change of the filter.
Operation: Install two probes of the differential pressure gauge respectively before and after the high-efficiency filter in the goods shower room, and regularly observe the readings of the differential pressure gauge. Generally speaking, when the resistance value displayed by the differential pressure gauge reaches about twice the initial resistance of the filter, it means that the resistance of the filter has met the replacement standard. For instance, if the initial resistance of a certain high-efficiency filter is 200Pa, when the differential pressure gauge reading reaches around 400Pa, the filter should be considered for replacement.
Refer to the manufacturer's suggestions.
Principle: Filter manufacturers usually provide resistance change data and replacement suggestions for filters under different usage conditions based on the material, structure, and performance characteristics of the products, in combination with actual application scenarios. These suggestions are based on a large number of experiments and practical experiences and have high reference value.
Operation: Refer to the product manual of the high-efficiency filter or consult the manufacturer to understand the resistance change curve and the recommended replacement resistance value for the application scenario of the material shower room. Determine whether the filter needs to be replaced according to the resistance standard recommended by the manufacturer.
Observe the operation status of the goods shower room.
Principle: When the resistance of the high-efficiency filter increases to a certain extent, it will affect the airflow velocity and purification effect of the material air shower, leading to abnormal operation of the material air shower. By observing these abnormal phenomena, it can be indirectly determined whether the resistance of the filter meets the replacement standard.
Operation: Observe whether the wind speed in the air shower has significantly decreased, such as feeling that the wind blowing on the body is not as strong as before. Or check the purification effect of the material air shower, for instance, by using a professional dust particle counter for detection. It is found that the number of dust particles in the air treated by the material air shower has significantly increased, exceeding the requirements and standards of the clean room. All these situations may indicate that the resistance of the filter is too high and replacement needs to be considered.
The above methods can be used in combination to more accurately determine whether the resistance of the high-efficiency filter in the material shower room meets the replacement standard. At the same time, factors such as the service life of the filter should also be comprehensively considered. Even if the resistance does not reach the replacement standard, if it has been used for too long, it may still need to be replaced to ensure the filtration effect.
