How to extend the service life of FFU?

To extend the service life of FFU (Fan Filter Unit), efforts can be made in aspects such as correct installation, daily maintenance, regular inspection, and component replacement. The specific methods are as follows:
Correct installation and environmental maintenance
Reasonable installation: Install by the manufacturer's instructions to ensure that the installation position is level and stable. Avoid improper installation causing FFU vibration or uneven force distribution, which may affect the lifespan of the components. At the same time, sufficient maintenance space should be reserved to facilitate subsequent maintenance.
Maintain a suitable environment: Try to install the FFU in an environment with appropriate temperature and humidity. The ideal temperature range is generally 18-28 ℃, and the relative humidity is 40%-60%. Avoid installation in environments with high temperatures, high humidity, excessive dust, or corrosive gases to prevent rusting, corrosion of components, or aggravated clogging of filters.
Daily operation and maintenance
Regular cleaning: Regularly clean the dust on the FFU's casing, air intake, air outlet, and other parts. You can use a clean soft cloth or vacuum cleaner for cleaning to prevent dust accumulation from affecting heat dissipation and air circulation.
Check the operating status: Regularly observe the operation of the FFU, including the sound of the fan running, whether the wind speed is normal, and whether there is any abnormal vibration, etc. If any problem is found, the machine should be stopped in time for inspection to prevent the fault from further expanding.
Avoid frequent starts and stops: Do not frequently turn the FFU on and off, as each time it starts up, the motor and other components will be subjected to a large current impact, which will accelerate the aging of the components and reduce their service life.
Regular inspection and component replacement
Filter inspection and replacement: Regularly inspect the filter. This can be achieved by using a professional particle counter to measure the filtration efficiency of the filter or by observing the resistance changes of the filter based on experience. When the resistance of the filter reaches 2 to 3 times the initial resistance, it is generally necessary to replace the filter to ensure the purification effect and normal operation of the FFU.
Fan and motor maintenance: Regularly add lubricating oil to the bearings and other rotating parts of the fan to reduce friction. At the same time, check the insulation performance of the motor and whether the connecting wires are loose. If there are any problems, repair or replace them in time. For fans and motors that have been in use for a long time, if their performance declines or malfunctions occur, timely replacement should be considered.
Control system maintenance: Inspect the control system of the FFU, including whether the sensors, controllers, and other components are working properly, to ensure that it can accurately control the rotational speed and operating status of the fan. If there is any software update, update it in a timely manner to optimize the performance of the control system.
